Dear GAMB Community,
as you have probably noticed, we have been a little quiet in the last couple of weeks. At least on the outside.
However, that does not mean that we haven’t been busy in the background advancing our marketplace closer to its development and implementation.
So let us take a look at why we haven’t started the public sale yet and what has been going on ‘behind the scenes’:
Why hasn’t the Public Sale started yet?
As you probably all have realised by now, the cryptomarket is experiencing a bearish phase and the current sentiment is very unfavorable towards ICOs. If you want to know exactly how unfavorable, take a look at the following graphic:
You can see the rapid decline that hit the market in July. You can also take a look at the exact numbers which leave no doubt that we are currently facing almost a standstill in ICO investments:
We had originally planned to start our public sale in August, but as we we are facing a challenging environment to successfully start a project, we believe that it would be in everyone’s best interest to monitor the market development closely to ensure the best outcome of our public sale and a good start of GAMB.
We do not only have a responsibility towards every contributor, we also need to consider every angle and make the best possible decisions in order to make GAMB a long-term success. We feel that is better to consider every step carefully than to rush the project to the starting line under unfavorable conditions. So we ask you — our Community — for just a little more patience.
Even though we have not yet started the public sale, we are of course not idly waiting for the market to recover. Our team is constantly working in every other aspect of the project to ensure that we are 100% ready once we can finally get GAMB of the ground!
What is the team currently doing?
We are currently working on a couple of aspects that will benefit the marketplace in the long run and help to create the decentralized marketplace that e-commerce needs to give back the power to the merchants.
We are for example:
- preparing our attendance and presentation at Crypto Finance Conference in California in September where we hope to grow our network and secure additional funding for the development of the marketplace
- working on strategic partnerships (service providers, shop software developers, payment providers) to enhance the GAMB ecosystem
- putting together the foundation for the development of the GAMB marketplace. We fully expect it to start within a narrow timeframe
As you can see, we are far from being desperate just because of the wind currently blowing in everyone’s faces a bit. The team is as motivated as it has been from the start, and that is because we are fully convinced that the world needs a decentralized alternative to the giants currently dominating global e-commerce. We will continue to work hard to make GAMB the success-story of the coming years.
As always, we will keep you posted about everything that is happening via our announcement channel on Telegram.
Who we are
GAMB — The Global Alliance for Merchants on the Blockchain has made it its goal to deliver a sustainable alternative to the powers currently dominating global e-commerce. We are building the leading decentralized marketplace. By enabling merchants to actively participate in every important decision, we empower them to be more than just customers of a platform.
